Migraines typically cause throbbing or pulsing of the head. Patients sometimes experience nausea, vomiting and sensitivity to light or sounds in addition to the pain. Self-help remedies, lifestyle changes and medications can all help in lessening migraines and/or the pain experienced during.
A migraine can last anywhere from 4 hours, to 3 days! The regularity really varies depending on the patient. Some experience migraines once a week or more, and in others, not often at all.
If you’ve had a history of headaches, it may be beneficial to visit your doctor. However, unfortunately, migraines are rarely diagnosed and sometimes don’t lead to treatment either.
Chiropractic is a great alternative. Studies have suggested that adjustments likely improve migraine headaches.
In addition to chiropractic adjustments, our team at Bay Area Wellness Center offers both rehab and hands-on therapies. Our Doctors will recommend a wellness plan unique to you, your symptoms and your goals. We’ve found this method very successful in providing relief to our clientele.
So next time you experience a headache, give us a call and we’ll get you right in.
